3 Hubbard firefighters injured in accident
HUBBARD — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a firetruck accident that injured three firefighters early this morning in Hubbard Township.
An Eagle Joint Fire District truck driven by Thomas Gregory, 60, of Hubbard drifted off Chestnut Ridge Road about 1 a.m. while on the way to a call for service, according to a highway patrol spokesman. The truck then struck a ditch, a culvert, a mailbox and a tree.
There were six firefighters, including the driver, inside the truck. Three were transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
