Boardman school board to hire new superintendent

BOARDMAN — The school board this evening resolved to hire a new superintendent, effective Aug. 1.

Timothy Saxton, director of operations for the district, will take over as superintendent next year.

He will replace Frank Lazzeri, who will retire after a nearly 45-year career in the district. Lazzeri became superintendent in 2004.

A final contract has yet to be negotiated, and will be brought back to the board for approval.
