Students can test whether they have the write stuff in the sixth annual Air Force Heritage and History Writing Competition.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton offers scholarship awards up to $1,500 for the top three entries. The competition this year focuses on research and writing about news media coverage and its impacts on Air Force operations in the Vietnam War and in Operation Desert Storm.

Public, private school or home-schooled students age 13-18 are eligible to compete. The first 250 entries submitted by March 14 will be judged for the competition.

The Air Force Museum Foundation and Dayton Rotary Foundation fund the competition.
