up for adoption
How to adopt: Call West Side Cats at 330-792-4228. Visit them at the shelter at 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.
Name: Lemon
Info: This young Tortie was born on May 19 and was brought to the shelter on Nov. 28. She gets along very well with other cats, but she hasn’t been around dogs yet in young age so her compatibility with them is unclear. She would make an excellent friend for other cats and family member for kids who like to be active.
Name: Hopps
Info: A kind soul brought Hopps to West Side Cats on Nov. 6 after he was found with his right hind leg broken. It had to be amputated, and he’s considered a special needs cat because of his injury and amputation. Hopps gets along just fine with his three legs now! He loves being petted. His age is unclear as well as his behavior around dogs and children. Hopps is on the mend from his injury and is ready to find a forever home with a special owner.
Hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday.
Info: Both cats have been neutered and are up-to-date on their shots. They tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia. They have been flea-treated and dewormed and are ready to go home.
