The Canfield Village Middle School hosted its annual Scholastic Book Fair the week of Nov. 2-6. Capitalizing on the timing of the book fair, the theme was “Reading Is So Much Fun, It’s Scary.”

Students in each grade level visited the book fair in the school’s library during their Language Arts class and were met with a spooky sign depicting the theme, including skeletons with pictures of Principal Judd Rubin’s and Assistant Principal Michael Flood’s faces superimposed on them.

The book fair offered a variety of selections for the students and included adult best-sellers. Parents were also invited to shop the book fair with their children.

Students could also purchase posters, bookmarks, pencils, novelty erasers, journals, pens, stickers and more.

Several PTO volunteers helped out at the book fair throughout the week checking out the students’ purchases and setting up and packing up the books.

Money raised from the book fair goes into the library fund to purchase new books for the library.
