Police: Crash victim's blood-alcohol level 4-times the legal limit

YOUNGSTOWN — Police said a woman registered a blood alcohol content Wednesday almost four times the legal limit after reports said she collided with a utility pole about 5:20 p.m. on Glenwood Avenue.

Police were called to the area of the Southern Tavern for a report of a one-vehicle accident and found a car driven by Rachelle Anderson, 41, of Boardman, with heavy front end damage next to a demolished pole.

Reports said Anderson could barely talk and smelled heavily of alcohol.

She failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the police department for a BAC test, where she registered a BAC of .315. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.
