Police chase ends in South Side crash

YOUNGSTOWN — A stolen car being chased Wednesday evening crashed at East Avondale and Gibson avenues.

Reports said officers chasing the car, which was reported stolen earlier in the day from a home on Orrin Avenue, crashed about 6:10 p.m., just after a police supervisor terminated the chase because of high speeds on a residential area.

Whomever was driving the car ran away and could not be found, reports said.
