Junior League donates to breast cancer groups

Junior League of Youngstown hosted it’s annual Pink Ribbon Tea, a celebration for breast cancer survivors, in August. The event welcomed 400 women, and breast cancer survivors attended the event for free.

From event proceeds, the League has made donations of $1,000 each to three local organizations that support breast cancer survivors: Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, the Silver Lining Cancer Fund and Yellow Brick Place.

The league encourages breast cancer survivors to contact its office at 330-743-3200 to be added to the invitation list for the 2016 Pink Ribbon Tea.
