Boat capsizes; men OK

CORTLAND

Three men whose boat capsized in Mosquito Lake overnight were able to make it to shore safely after calling 911.

The men were on top of the capsized vessel near the south end of the lake when they saw vehicles on the shore belonging to emergency crews.

They were in shallow water and were in no danger, according to a supervisor with the Trumbull County 911 center.

They walked or swam to the shore on their own at about 6 a.m., he said. The men were not injured and did not have to be treated for hypothermia.

The men, all in their early 20s from Sharpsville, Pa., had started fishing at 9 p.m.
