YOUNGSTOWN

Downtown Youngstown is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The Central Square district is aglow with lighting for the holiday season.

Lighted wreaths and candy canes are hung throughout downtown. Small white bulbs adorn most of the trees along city sidewalks.

At center stage of the downtown holiday light display is the city’s Christmas tree. T.A. and Laura Brown donated a large blue spruce from their yard on Brunswick Road. The tree is decorated with multicolored lights and ribbons and was formally lit during the annual holiday parade Dec. 4 by Sister Jerome Corcoran, who served as grand marshal of the parade.

So far, Mother Nature has not sent any snow our way, but there is still a chance for a white Christmas.
