Church will donate to needy at concert

YOUNGSTOWN

New Vision New Day Ministry, 1970 Everett Ave., will host a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Friday.

The church asks that families with two or more children send a letter expressing the challenges that they face daily.

During the concert, a total of $5,000 in gift cards will be given to 20 families in need.

Family members must be present at the concert if they are chosen as a winner.

Ursuline Class of ’51 meets Tuesday

Ursuline High School Class of 1951 will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Perkins Restaurant, 804 Boardman-Poland Road.

Class reunion plans for July will be discussed. Spouses and friends are welcome.

Ham radio license classes to be offered

YOUNGSTOWN

Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club (www.wrarc.net) will conduct classes for General Class and Amateur Extra Class License exams.

Classes will take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Jan. 6 at ITT Tech, 1030 N. Meridian Road.

The General Course will be five weeks long, and Amateur Extra Class, eight.

To qualify for the General Class License, you must hold a valid Technician’s Class License, or the General Class License for the Amateur Extra Class course.

Instructor will be Allan Avnet (AB8AA), and other qualified club members also will be available for mentoring.

There is no cost for the course, but participants must buy course textbooks and pay an exam fee.
