Survivors of Suicide groups will meet

Help Hotline Crisis Center’s Survivors of Suicide support groups in Mahoning and Columbiana counties are set to meet this week for families who have lost a loved one to suicide.

The Mahoning County group will gather at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. Call 330-747-2696 for information.

The Columbiana County group will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Columbiana County Counseling Center, 40722 state Route 154, Lisbon.

Take a plunge for Lawrence Habitat

PORTERSVILLE, PA.

Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity will host its sixth annual Douse for a House Polar Plunge on Feb. 20.

Participants will jump in the cold water on the South Shore of Pleasant Valley Beach at Moraine State Park.

There will be a costume contest, games, food and prizes at the “Plungeville” activity area.

Participants can agree to plunge in the water or sponsor an individual who will take the jump. All funds will go toward the building of the next Habitat home.
