The choir of Struthers Parkside Church, 110 Poland Ave., will perform a Christmas cantata, “The Wonders of His Love,” at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Christmas vespers
POLAND
Christmas vespers, “Let There be Christmas” by Joseph Martin, is planned at 6:15 p.m. Sunday at Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor. The Chancel Choir and the Children’s Choir will participate. Narration and readings supporting the carols will be read by Poland Presbyterian’s youth. Errol Kehrberg, director of music, will conduct the combined choirs; Emily Slaven, children’s choir director; and Larry Harris, professor at Youngstown State University Dana School of Music, keyboard accompaniment.
Christmas event
YOUNGSTOWN
Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will feature the Gospel Choir at worship at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. At 4:30 p.m., there will be a Christmas dinner and party.

Musical celebration
NEW WILMINTON, PA.
A Christmas musical celebration is planned at 6 p.m. Dec. 19 and at 9 and 11 a.m. Dec. 20 at New Life Baptist Church, 3414 state Route 18. Interpretation for the deaf will be provided at all services. The “Celebration Choir,” band, drama team and children’s choir will be featured.

A seasonal play, “Christmas Eve in Boulder Creek,” will be staged at 6 p.m. Sunday at Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road.
Groening lecture

“Help and Healing on the Spiritual Path Through the Teachings of Bruno Groening” will be presented at 6 p.m. Thursday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 S. Broad St. The session is being held at, but is not affiliated with, the church. The lecture is sponsored by the Circle for Spiritual Aid to Life, based on the teachings of Groening, a German healer and teacher. The free information lecture is about 90 minutes. Christmas vespers
NEW WILMINGTON, PA.
One of Westminster College’s longest-standing traditions is a Christmas vespers service that will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Orr Auditorium. The service, “A Shepherd-Like Faith,” will feature traditional Christmas Scripture and lessons and performances by the men’s, women’s, Gospel, handbell and flute choirs and chamber singers, orchestra and brass quintet. A reception will follow in Orr Lobby.
