The series: This is their 10th playoff meeting, and the first nine were in the Stagg Bowl. Mount Union won in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Whitewater won in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014. Mount Union won regular-season games in 2002 in Wisconsin and 2003 in Alliance. Whitewater leads the overall series, 6-5.

Playoff road: Mount Union defeated St. Lawrence, 55-23; No. 20 Albright, 66-7, and No. 11 Wesley, 56-35. Whitewater defeated St. Norbert 48-0; No. 6 Wheaton, 31-17, and No. 3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 31-29.

Other semifinal: No. 2 Linfield (12-0) at No. 4 St. Thomas (13-0), 3:30 p.m. (ESPN3).
