C.H. Campbell Elementary School students had the opportunity to get creative this Halloween for the school’s PTO annual pumpkin decorating contest. With no limitations on how they could decorate their pumpkins, the students went all out decorating their pumpkins at home and then brought them to school to be displayed.
The pumpkins could not be carved so the students used paint, glitter, ribbons, bows, puff balls and several other art elements and props.
Among the variety of pumpkins on display were ice cream treats, snowmen, vampires, Minions, superheroes, witches, cupcakes, footballs, baseballs, Star Wars, Angry Birds, robots, penguins, bubble gum machines, Raggedy Ann and Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers themed pumpkins.
Every pumpkin entry received an award, such as Angriest Angry Bird, Most Marvelous Minion, Most Magical, Prettiest in Pink, Most Yummy Treat, Most Sticky Sweet, Best Raggedy Ann Pumpkin and Best Eyebrows.
The pumpkins were on display at the school the week of Halloween.
