US courthouse in Cincinnati locked down today, bomb scare cited

CINCINNATI (AP) — The federal courthouse in Cincinnati has been locked down, reportedly after a bomb scare.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Cincinnati Police dispatchers say the Potter Stewart U.S. Courthouse downtown was locked down at about 8:50 a.m. today. No details about the scare were available immediately.

An FBI spokesman says federal authorities including courthouse protective services are coordinating their response with Cincinnati agencies.

A building employee referred questions to a court executive who wasn’t available immediately.
