Harding held East to 10 points in the first half and then coasted for the rest of the contest. Kia Allen led with 14 points, Shymara Dykes recorded a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds and Toni Donaldson added 12. Znayia Brown led East with 18 points.
Salem 44, Cardinal Mooney 30
YOUNGSTOWN
Salem’s Allee Davidson led all scorers with 15 points as the Quakers downed Mooney. Chloe Cheresne also scored nine points for Salem, while the Cardinals were paced by Renee Santisi’s 10 points.
Brookfield 75, Campbell 18
CAMPBELL
Brookfield was paced by Autumn Kirila’s 18 points — and it also received 12 points from McKenzie Drapola and 11 points from Bailey Drapola — as the Warriors routed Campbell.
Lakeview 67, Jefferson 43
CORTLAND
Lakeview defended its court well against Jefferson, with a halftime score of 32-15. For Lakeview, Annie Pavlansky had 19 points. Jensen Silbaugh contributed seven of the team’s 17 assists as well as all three of Lakeview’s 3-point goals, and Addie Becker had nine rebounds. Emily Smock led Jefferson with 21 total points and two 3-point goals.
Newton Falls 64, Liberty 31
NEWTON FALLS
Newton Falls started with a strong 23-6 lead after one quarter and maintained the lead throughout the rest of the game. Gabby Kline led the Tigers with 17 points and Izzy Kline had 14 rebounds. Liberty was led by Amy Mikulich with 12 points, and Marcy Dykes led the team in rebounds and assist with nine and thre, respectively.
Struthers 56, Hubbard 32
STRUTHERS
Struthers’ win over Hubbard last night was the 600th win in program history for the Wildcats girls basketball program. Only 35 teams in the state have reached that total. Caitlin Kane led Struthers with 19 points, including five 3-point goals. Hubbard was led by Logan Nitsche with 10 points and two 3-point goals.
Akron Hoban 82, Ursuline 72
AKRON
Dayshanette Harris led Ursuline with 29 points, including four 3-point goals, and Simone Comer had 10 rebounds in a road loss. For Hoban, Kara Marshall had 24 points.
Austintown Fitch 84, Ashtabula Lakeside 24
AUSTINTOWN
Five Falcons scored in double figures as Austintown Fitch dominated the Dragons. Allexis Sallee led the Falcons with 17 points, Natalie Lynn added 15 and Sarah Obradovich, Alysoun Mukaabya and Sabria Hunter each had points. Carly Aponte led Lakeside 10.
