Man held without bond in Warren stabbing

WARREN
Chamazez L. Scott, 19, of Cleveland and Atlantic Street Northwest is in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond after his arraignment Tuesday on two counts of abduction and two counts of aggravated burglary.
The charges relate to an Oct. 19 incident in which he’s accused of stabbing another man at his apartment in Warren. He could get 20 years in prison if he’s convicted. Judge Thomas Gysegem of Warren Municipal Court entered a not-guilty plea for him.
Police were called at 7:07 p.m. Oct. 19 for a man, 22, of Belmont Street Northwest, who had been stabbed. The victim’s twin brother said a transsexual dressed as a woman in pajama pants and a purple shirt committed the stabbing and fled on foot.
The victim, who had a deep cut in his lower back, said he and his brother went to Scott’s house because Scott was a friend.
But Scott and a woman in the apartment accused the twins of stealing $400. Scott tried to stop them with a bottle, police said. After the twins walked out of the house and started down exterior stairs, Scott broke the bottle on the railing, then cut the victim with it.
Police found pieces of broken glass near the stairs.
Police arrested Scott on Monday, questioned him and placed him in jail.
