BOARDMAN
A Poland woman is charged with felony counts of aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence and obstructing justice after police allege she arranged for someone to assault a man at Boardman Park in a dispute regarding nude photographs.
Julia Belvedere, 20, was arrested Monday for the incident, which purportedly occurred Sunday evening.
The victim reported to police that a man punched him in the head and repeatedly struck him with a metal object on a trail in the woods after he met Belvedere there.
He told police he believes Belvedere arranged the assault because he had threatened to post nude photos of her to Facebook if she ended their sexual relationship. His phone, containing the pictures, reportedly was taken during the incident.
Belvedere is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court today.
