Akron Children’s Hospital has moved to and expanded services in a larger office at the Aultman North campus at 6100 Whipple Ave. N.W., North Canton.
In addition to its Heart Center and pediatric orthopedic services, the team from Akron Children’s Vision Center also will be seeing patients at the office, a new service for Stark County.

Akron Children’s also offers services at three other Stark County locations: Rehabilitative Services, 5156 Whipple Ave. N.W., Canton; at Aultman Hospital, Akron Children’s offers inpatient pediatric care and outpatient care for allergy/immunology, endocrinology/diabetes, neurology, physiatry, and pulmonology; and maternal fetal medicine at Mercy Medical Building, 1330 Mercy Drive N.W., Canton.

LORDSTOWN
Mercy Health Youngstown, formerly Humility of Mary Health Partners, is offering free blood pressure, blood sugar and blood cholesterol screenings (finger stick) from 9:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 16 at the Lordstown SCOPE center, 1766 Salts Spring Road.
Those wishing to take part should not eat or drink anything other than plain water for eight hours before the screening. Screenings are provided through Mercy Health’s Neighborhood Health Watch program and are first come, first served.

Pediatrics practice
LISBON
On Jan. 7, Akron Children’s Hospital is opening its first location in Columbiana County at 3300 N. Market St., Lisbon, as a pediatric primary care office.
Additionally, Dr. B.N. Bhat’s Lisbon pediatrics practice will merge with this new office as he retires from private practice Dec. 30.
The practice will be renamed Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics Lisbon and will remain at its current location.
The board-certified primary- care medical providers will be Dr. Laurie Penix and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Donald Buchanan.
They will provide the full range of primary care for babies, children and teens, including: well- child visits/routine checkups/immunizations/sports, school and camp physicals/treatment for illness and injury, and chronic disease management.
Medicaid and most insurance plans will be accepted.
Office hours will be expanded Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients also will be seen for sick visits on Saturday mornings in the Alliance office at 1826 S. Arch Ave.
