The Christmas Marketplace is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown, featuring artifacts and memorabilia from the late Rev. Lonnie Kwajo A. Simon’s collection. Vendor spaces are available. There will be soup and sandwiches available. Proceeds from the Simon collection will benefit the special project fund.
Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. December specials are as follows: Take a friend and receive an additional 10 percent off a purchase; there will be 50 percent off an inventory of baby and teen clothing and women’s coats. Many items are new with tags. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Tuesday.
TRIPS
Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, will host a bus trip on Feb. 14 to Cleveland to see the musical “If/Then,” which follows one woman’s two possible life paths. Cost is $75 for JCC members and $85 for nonmembers, which covers the cost of an orchestra seat, transportation and tip for bus driver. Participants will eat dinner independently.
