Quarter auction set for Dec. 12

A Howland High School “Paws With A Cause” sponsored quarter auction will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Howland United Methodist Church, 730 Howland Wilson Road NE, and will benefit West Side Cats and North East Ohio Lab Rescue.

There will be gift baskets and a 25-cent basket auction.

Refreshments will be available. Pizza will be for sale for $1. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks.

A $10 entrance fee will include two paddles, and additional paddles can be purchased for $5 each.

Riverside RR Train club to host open house

WARREN

Riverside Railroad Train Club, the Mahoning Valley’s only public large-scale garden railroad club, will have a Christmas open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Warren S.C.O.P.E. Center, 220 W. Market St.

The show will feature indoor train layouts of different scales that will include steam and diesel trains. Refreshments will be served.

Cost is $3, and children under 12 enter for free.
