Maryland man faces multiple charges after Campbell incident
CAMPBELL — A Maryland man faces multiple charges after a woman called police to a Jean Street home Sunday.
A 34-year-old woman told police that Edward Howard III of Glen Burnie, Ma. had beat her and threatened her with a knife. A police report states that Howard resisted arrest and hit an officer in the face, breaking his glasses and causing bruises.
Struthers police arrived to assist with the arrest. The report states that Howard "appeared to be going into a psychotic state."
He was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
Howard is charged with assault on a police officer, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, assault and aggravated menacing.
