Girard issues boil alert for water customers

GIRARD — A boil alert, which went into effect Saturday after a water-main break, will continue through Friday. As a precaution, residents should boil water before drinking it or using it for cooking or brushing teeth. The warning extends to anyone who receives water from the Girard Water Department. In addition to Girard, the department also serves parts of Liberty and Weathersfield townships.
