TCAP announces utility-bill assistance sign-ups

The Trumbull Community Action Program, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, assists eligible households with utility bills through March 31 under the Winter Crisis Program, which helps avoid utility disconnection, restore disconnected service and establish new service, and aids with purchase of fuel oil, propane, coal and wood.

Walk-ins are accepted Mondays. Tuesday through Friday, walk-in customers who arrive between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. can be seen each day before noon. Appointments for weekday afternoons are scheduled by calling 866-747-1041.

Applicants also can apply from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at one of three satellite sites by appointment only. They are: Tuesdays, Niles Community Center, 401 Vienna Ave., Niles; Wednesdays, Newton Falls Community Center, 52 E. Quarry St., Newton Falls; and Thursdays, Tod’s Crossing Senior Living, 1330 Blakely Circle SW, Warren.
