No. 3 Michigan State 76 Binghamton 33

EAST LANSING, MICH.

Denzel Valentine had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Bryn Forbes scored 14 points as Michigan State rolled over Binghamton. The Spartans (9-0) stormed to a 41-12 halftime lead, shooting 15 of 29 from the field, and holding cold-shooting Binghamton (2-5) to 4 of 31. For the game, Michigan State was 30 of 65 and the Bearcats were 10 of 60.

No. 4 Kansas 75, Harvard 69

LAWRENCE, KAN.

Frank Mason III scored 21 points and Perry Ellis added 12 for Kansas in a sloppy game. Devonte’ Graham also had 12 points for Kansas (6-1). Freshman reserve Weisner Perez had 15 points, Tommy McCarthy added 11 and Zena Edosomwan had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Crimson (2-6) in their third straight loss. Midway through the first half, freshman Cheick Diallo pulled up and hit a mid-range jumper to put Kansas up 15-12.

No. 7 Duke 82, Buffalo 59

DURHAM, N.C.

Freshman Brandon Ingram scored 23 points and Duke pulled away to beat Buffalo. Grayson Allen finished with 22 points and a career-best 11 rebounds, and Amile Jefferson had 13 points for the Blue Devils (8-1). They won their sixth straight despite some offensive struggles: Duke never trailed but shot a season-worst 40.7 percent and matched a season low with five 3-pointers. William & Mary 52

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.

Anthony Gill and Malcolm Brogdon scored 16 points each and Virginia beat William & Mary for its sixth straight win. Darius Thompson added 12 points for the Cavaliers (7-1), who beat the Tribe for the 10th consecutive time.

No. 11 Purdue 70, New Mexico 58

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND.

Seven-foot-two Isaac Haas scored 21 points and 7-footer A.J. Hammons added 16 in Purdue’s victory over New Mexico. The Boilermakers improved to 8-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 team won 14 straight at the start of the season. New Mexico (5-2) got 18 points from Elijah Brown and 16 from Cullen Neal.

No. 19 Arizona 68, No. 13 Gonzaga 63

SPOKANE, WASH.

Gabe York scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half, Allonzo Trier added 14 points and Arizona rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit. After playing an overtime thriller in Tucson a year ago, the Bulldogs and Wildcats got together for another non-conference classic as the Wildcats rallied to hand Gonzaga (5-2) its first non-conference home loss since falling to Illinois in 2012.

Georgetown 79. No. 14 Syracuse 72

WASHINGTON

With coach Jim Boeheim beginning his nine-game NCAA suspension, No. 14 Syracuse lost its second consecutive game, beaten by old rival Georgetown, thanks in large part to senior center Bradley Hayes’ career-high 21 points. This was the first meeting between the schools since Syracuse left the Big East for the Atlantic Coast Conference after the 2012-13 season.

No. 20 West Virginia 87, Kennesaw State 54

MORGANTOWN, W.VA.

Devin Williams had 26 points and nine rebounds and Jonathan Holton had 17 points and nine rebounds. The victory was the first for the Mountaineers (7-0) since being ranked for the first time this season in The Associated Press Top 25.

No. 21 Miami 88, Charlotte 60

CORAL GABLES, FLA.

Seven reserves combined for 35 points to help No. 21 Miami beat Charlotte. The Hurricanes (7-1) raced to a 40-10 lead after 16 minutes. The 49ers (1-7) lost their fourth straight. Sheldon McClellan, Miami’s leading scorer this season, did not start because of a nagging lower extremity injury that limited his practice time this week.

No. 22 SMU 98, New Hampshire 44

DALLAS

Keith Frazier scored 20 of his 23 points in the first half to lead SMU. Frazier, a junior guard from Dallas, matched his career-high in scoring and he broke his career record for 3-pointers in a game before halftime with five. He finished 6 for 10 from behind the arc and grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. Shake Milton added 20 points for the Mustangs (6-0). Rhode Island 72

KINGSTON, R.I.

Ben Bentil tipped in Kris Dunn’s missed shot at the buzzer to give No. 23 Providence a victory over Rhode Island. The officials briefly reviewed the play before running the shot counted. Bentil finished with 23 points and eight rebounds to help the Friars (8-1) beat the Rams (5-3) for the sixth straight time.

No. 24 Louisville 111, Grand Canyon 63

LOUISVILLE, KY.

Damion Lee matched his season-high with 24 points, Trey Lewis added 16 and No. 24 Louisville used a 26-3 first-half run to break away from Grand Canyon and coast to a blowout. Buoyed by 64 percent shooting in the first half, Louisville turned a 12-12 game into a 38-15 lead.

WOMEN

BYU 72, No. 12 Texas A&M 67

LAIE, HAWAII

Lexi Eaton Rydalch scored 28 points and BYU upset No. 12 Texas A&M, to complete a sweep at the Tom Weston Classic on the campus of BYU-Hawaii. The Cougars (6-3) ran their overall record at the invitational tournament to 14-1.

No. 23 DePaul 89, Illinois State 41

CHICAGO

Chanise Jenkins scored 17 points and passed seven assists as No. 23 DePaul bounced back from a home court loss to No. 1 Connecticut to rout intrastate rival Illinois State. The Blue Demons (6-2) built a 10-point lead in the first quarter, 26-16, and outscored the Redbirds 31-8 in the second quarter.
