UP FOR ADOPTION

How to adopt: Call West Side Cats at 330-792-4228. Visit them at the shelter at 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

Name: Josephine

Info: Josephine, a long-haried Dilute Tortie, was found during a clean up that saved her and a group of other cats during the winter. She is about 4 years old and was born around Jan. 1, 2012. She gets along well with other cats and dogs; it’s unclear how she’ll be with children, but volunteers are positive, as she is a very mild-mannered cat. She keeps herself very clean. Jo already had her adoption pre-paid, and all she needs now is a forever home.

Name: Orange

Info: This furball is a hit at the shelter because of his unique, funny and loving nature. Volunteers have shared many laughs after finding him comfortably nuzzled in the shelter’s sink/ bathtub. He loves to be petted and often playfully head-butts his new friends. His age is unclear but he is a good-sized adult male. Orange is a special-needs cat and would make a wonderful senior companion because he requires a little extra care. He seems to love other cats, dogs and people.

Hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; closed Sunday and Monday.

Info: Both cats have been neutered or spayed and are up-to-date on their shots. They tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia. They have been flea-treated and dewormed and are ready to go home.
