Canfield High School announces 2016 Hall of Fame inductees


The Canfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame is gaining new inductees. Sixteen members have been selected and will be added to the Class of 2016.

The inductees will be honored on Jan. 23 at The Embassy banquet facility at 6:30 p.m.

The featured guest speaker will be Ken Krebs (CHS 1977). Krebs earned Phi Beta Kappa honor society membership as an undergraduate at Cornell University and graduated from the Duke University School of Law, where he was a Reynolds Scholar. A founding partner of the highly-successful Columbus-based Rockbridge private equity firm, Krebs and his wife have been very active in a host of civic and charitable endeavors in central Ohio.

2016 Hall of Fame inductees are: Holly Coleman-Heikkinen (CHS 1998) - volleyball and basketball; Kevin Culp (CHS 1999) - basketball and baseball; Larry Davis - coach and contributor; Marty Fitzgerald (CHS 1990) - golf and baseball; Jerry Hickman (CHS 1978) - football, golf, basketball and baseball; Tom James (CHS 1965) - football and track; Jason Kemble (CHS 1997) - football, basketball and track; Ray McCune, Jr. (CHS 1990) - basketball; Amy Majernik-Herrmann (CHS 1989) - volleyball, swimming and track; Bob Neff (CHS 1935) - football, basketball and track; Scott Pfahler (CHS 1995) - tennis; Matt Pietro (CHS 2004) - football and soccer; Ken Popovec (CHS 1979) - contributor; Tom Porterfield (CHS 1973) - cross country and track; Chad Rosko (CHS 1987) - football, basketball and baseball; Steve Stanislaw (CHS 1977) - cross country, basketball and baseball.
