WARREN

Felonious assault and misdemeanor domestic violence charges were filed Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court against Stephen R. Rowe, 28, of Kenwood Drive Southwest, accused of stabbing a Youngstown man several times Tuesday night.

Warren police were called to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for a man, 45, of Youngstown, who had been stabbed during a fight that started as a domestic dispute between a female friend and her boyfriend.

The woman, 24, of the Kenwood address, said she and Rowe had been living together since September, and Rowe was mad when she came home Monday night. He grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face, she told police. She had red marks on her neck and throat, police said.

She called a male friend, and he came to the house and confronted Rowe, and a fight between the men ensued, including the victim being stabbed. The victim got into his car as Rowe chased the woman with a knife.

Then Rowe opened the car door and stabbed the victim. He had wounds to his calf, forearm and biceps, police said.

After that, the woman got in the car, and she and the victim drove away, but Rowe jumped onto the hood of the car and was carried a distance before falling off, police said.

Police went back to the Kenwood address and found Rowe with cuts on his wrist and head. He was taken into custody on warrants and taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment. Police found a knife near a puddle of blood in the road.
