Chaney High School Class of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant on Mahoning Avenue.

West Side Cats offers special rates in Dec.

YOUNGSTOWN

West Side Cats, 2217 Mahoning Ave.,‚ã will offer a Home for the Holidays adoption event during the month of December, where all cat and kitten adoptions will be offered for half price.

The cost to adopt an adult cat will be $25; kittens, $45; and special needs cats, $20.

Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable cats, especially in the case of special needs cats as these needs are unique to each.

Volunteers will always provide the history of any cat or kitten at the shelter with interested parties.

Benefit dinner set for Dec. 13

YOUNGSTOWN

A benefit stuffed cabbage and sausage dinner, sponsored by Holy Apostles Parish and Paulina Cancel for a family in need, will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave.

Carryouts are available.

No tickets are available at the door; they must be purchased at weekend Masses or by calling the office at 330-743-1905 by Dec. 11.

Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and younger.

The meal will include two stuffed cabbages, one piece of sausage, parsley potatoes, salad, bread and butter, dessert, and coffee, tea or water.
