Smart Choice food orders taken in December

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice food at the church with cash, check, money order or Ohio Direction Cards from 6 to 7 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to noon Monday.

Orders also will be taken at Niles Community Services, 401 Vienna Ave., from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Monday.

Boxes range in price from $20 to $40 and include meat and vegetables, convenience meals, Christmas box, frozen fruit and vegetable box, holiday dessert box and a gluten-free brownie box. There is a special kids box available for $20 with the purchase of any other box.

There are no income restrictions or guidelines. Online specials at www.smartchoicefood.com can be ordered on the website or at the church.

Mail-in orders will be accepted with payment by postal or bank money order or certified check to New Hope Church.

Payment and mail-in orders must be received by Friday. Online ordering will be taken through Dec. 13. A 3 percent handling fee will be added to all online orders.

Distribution is scheduled for 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 19. A community breakfast will be served the same day from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and Santa will be a special guest. For information, call 330-652-3625.
