Mansfield man in Trumbull jail on felony child endangering, child has serious injuries

Arthur A. Harper, 43, of Mansfield is in the Trumbull County jail, charged with felony child endangering related to the serious injuries suffered by his girlfriend's son, 3, Saturday evening.

According to radio traffic from the Warren Police Department, the boy, Russell Cotrall, was taken to a Rainbow Children's Hospital in Cleveland, where a doctor told police the boy "is not going to make it" and his death is going to be a homicide.

The initial Warren police report said officers were called to the boy's home in the 500 block of High Street Northeast because the boy was unresponsive "and possibly not breathing."
