Hopkins gets 25 to life for murder

YOUNGSTOWN

Anthony Hopkins, 36, of West Dewey Avenue, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court today for a 2013 murder.

Judge Shirley J. Christian handed down the sentence after a jury Nov. 20 found Hopkins guilty of the Sept. 28, 2013, shooting death of Frank James Brown.

Brown was found shot to death amid shards of auto glass on Truesdale Avenue.
