Boardman cops nab suspected burglar after chase

Police nabbed a suspect Monday morning after he led officers from multiple law-enforcement agencies on a chase.

Matthew Burns, 43, of Austintown, is charged by Boardman police with aggravated burglary, obstructing official business and resisting arrest after he reportedly burglarizing a Windel Way home Monday and then fleeing from police, first in his vehicle and then on foot.

Boardman, Austintown and Youngstown police participated in the search, according to a report. An Austintown police officer reportedly found Burns hiding behind a South Meridian Road residence, at which point he was taken into custody.
