Better business skills the goal of new consortium

YOUNGSTOWN — An agreement between the city, library and a group of retired professional business officials could prove to be a benefit to small business owners along Youngstown’s main corridors.

Officials with the city’s Department of Community Planning and Economic Development, the Youngstown chapter of SCORE and the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County approved the memorandum of understanding agreement Tuesday.

“It’s a good idea to collaborate which will allow us to promote the various resources each of us have available to businesses,” said T. Sharon Woodberry, director of the city’s Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.
