Western Reserve Road is now open over Interstate 680


NORTH LIMA — Western Reserve Road is now open over Interstate 680.

Ohio Department of Transportation officials announced early today that the Western Reserve Road bridge over I-680 after crews finished work over the weekend.

ODOT spokesman Justin Chesnic had told The Vindicator on Friday afternoon that the bridge would reopen sometime today dependent on weather during the weekend.

The bridge was closed in June, and it was an $8.9 million project to replace the bridge over I-680 and resurface the highway from U.S. Route 224 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in October.
