Guests of Rotary club share information

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Above are Mark Cole, Austintown Rotary flag chairman; John Prest and Rick Alli from Youngstown Fraternal Order of Police; and Mal Culp president of the club. Prest and Alli talked about the Police Officers Memorial at the end of the South Avenue bridge at the Aug. 24 meeting of Austintown Rotary. Police officer Michael Hartzell, a Fitch graduate, who died in the line of duty, is the most recent name added. The Rotary donated one of the flags from the Rotary flag lease program to the FOP since the wind wears the flags out quickly. Below are Culp and Bob Wirtz, representative of Gateways to Better Living, who shared that the agency has 16 group homes in the Mahoning County with seven of those in Austintown. Gateways is a nonprofit organization which provides the least restrictive and appropriate environment for the developmentally disabled.
