The Western Reserve Association of Health Underwriters will host “2015 Group Life/Short Term Disability,” a one-hour continuing education program and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10 at The Fifth Floor Restaurant, 201 E. Commerce St.
Charlie Rowley of Dearborn National, which offers a broad selection of insurance and financial products, will present the program.
Cost is $10 for WRAHU/OAHU members and $15 for National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers members.

YNDC program aims to help entrepreneurs

The program includes classes on building a business plan, financial counseling and small business microloans.

Registration open for conference on women’s leadership

Registration is open for the YWCA’s Women’s Leadership Conference that will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 25.
The conference will provide knowledge and skills important for career and personal growth.
This year’s event focuses on entry-level professionals. The cost is $35 per person; $20 for full-time students with a valid ID; and $200 for groups of eight.

Chamber will host business showcase
BOARDMAN
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its Business Showcase at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., from noon to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 17.
The showcase, which is free and open to the public, features another round of local brew and food competitions and the opportunity to display businesses.
