This fall marks five years since the Band Perry — Kimberly Perry (vocals, guitar, piano), Reid Perry (bass, vocals) and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion, vocals) — arrived on the country music scene with its platinum self-titled effort.

During that time, the outfit has enjoyed plenty of success with hit singles including the platinum “If I Die Young,” “You Lie,” “All Your Life,” “Better Dig Two” and “Done.” The latter two appeared on the group’s 2013 sophomore album “Pioneer.’

Now the Grammy Award-nominated act is thinking about its next studio effort. Its highly-anticipated third studio effort will include the lead single “Live Forever.” The album is due out soon and reportedly features guest appearances by Pharrell Williams and Diplo. In the meantime, the family threesome is on the road, and that includes a Thursday show at the Canfield Fair.

Here are 10 things you didn’t know about the Band Perry:

#1As a teenager, Kimberly was in a band with her brothers acting as roadies. Eventually, the two boys had their own group before joining their sister in 2005 to form the Band Perry.

#2While falling under the country music umbrella, The Band Perry members are influenced by the Eagles, Tom Petty and the Rolling Stones.

#3 In 2008, the band was discovered by Garth Brooks’ manager Bob Doyle.

#4The outfit’s first single was top 20 hit “Hip to My Heart.”

#5In 2011, the Band Perry was an opener for Tim McGraw’s “Emotional Traffic Tour,” which included a memorable show at the Covelli Centre.

#6In 2011, the Band Perry recorded “Home This Christmas” with Justin Bieber for the “Under the Mistletoe” compilation.

#7Uber-producer Rick Rubin was at the helm for the group’s 2013 effort “Pioneer.”

#8Kimberly is married to professional baseball player J.P. Arencibia, who is currently with the Tampa Bay Rays.

#9Earlier this year, the Band Perry received a Grammy Award for its cover of “Gentle on My Mind” for the Glen Campbell documentary “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.”
