Freetimers, YSU Retirees, will meet for a monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall conference room. Ernie Ciarniello will preside, and a catered lunch will be provided. For reservations call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and bingo will follow the meeting. New members are welcome and do not need to be a resident of Lowellville. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will conduct its fall meeting Sept. 9 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. Social hour will be at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:45. Susan Harris will preside. New retirees will be introduced. State Senator Joe Schiavoni will discuss the State of Education in Ohio (The Youngstown Plan) and will respond to HB 70.
