MSWCD has bird seed, fish sales

The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District, 850 Industrial Road, is offering various sales.

The SWCD will sell fresh wild bird seed. Costs are $10 for 25 pounds mixed wild seed; $16 for 25 pounds black-oil sunflower seed; and $9 for 10 pounds of thistle seed.

Bags can be picked up daily during SWCD hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call the district office at 330-740-7995 to place an order.

The SWCD also will offer a fall fingerling fish sale. Largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, crappies, redear shellcrackers and yellow perch are 85 cents each; 100 flathead minnows are $7 per 100; and white amur are $15 each.

Pickup will be 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

SWCD officials will provide information on what to bring when picking up your order and stocking recommendations, as well as accept fish orders, when participants call the district office.
