The Summer Discovery Program for the Public Libraries of Youngstown and Mahoning County, PLYMC, came to an end on Aug. 10 at the End of Summer Reading Teen Party at the Boardman library.

Librarians Allison Graf, Karen Saunders and Selina Phillips set up games, crafts and a snack table for students to enjoy during their celebration for the completion of the program.

Laini Bondi joined the party, sharing her expertise in Scattergories and not-so meticulous moves in Jenga Boom.

Bondi said she enjoyed reading the books for the program and really liked the superhero theme this year.

“It’s awesome,” Bondi said. “If it was a movie I would rate it five stars.”

This year the regular summer reading program was changed to Discovery due to the varying activities and crafts incorporated – making it more than just reading.
