Mr., Mrs. Brine will celebrate 65th anniversary

Louis and Ruth Brine of Girard were married in 1950 at St. Rose Church, where they are members. The couple will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary in July.

Their children are Joseph J. Brine of Girard; Louis Brine M.D. of Poland; Ruthann McConnell of Lexington, Ky.; and Susan Rosile of Hubbard. They have 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The former Ruth Holicki retired in 1990 from her position as a secretary at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Mr. Brine was a self-employed barber before retiring in 2012. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2935.
