A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Aug. 5

Criminal mischief: Criminal mischief was reported with port-a-johns being pushed over at a construction site at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. Juveniles were identified and warned.

Aug. 9

Domestic violence: Police arrested Frank Kolesar, 24, of the 400 block of Brookpark Drive, on a charge of domestic violence.

Aug. 13

Possible identity fraud: A resident of the 500 block of North Briarcliff Drive reported possible identity fraud July 31. The victim contacted the credit bureaus and has not suffered any monetary loss.

Lost wallet: A wallet was reported lost or stolen by a resident of the 100 block of Topaz Circle.

Warrant: Justin Beers, 27, of Erie, Pa., surrendered to police on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

Aug. 13

Warrant: Christopher Cooper, 38, of Erie, Pa., surrendered to police on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

Aug. 16

Warrant: Police arrested Stacey Stuhldreher, 32, of Congress Road, West Salem, on a Medina County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Daniel Hilliard,18, of Cranberry,Pa., on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and trafficking in marijuana.

Aug. 18

Drug abuse: Police arrested Dylan McLaughlin, 22, of Alliance, on charges of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 20

Warrant: Police arrested Stephen Slade, 27, of Sciota Street, Youngstown, on a Youngstown Municipal Court warrant.

Aug. 10

Domestic violence: Police arrested Joseph Stigar, 44, of South Main Street, was arrested on a domestic-violence charge.

Warrant: Police arrested Alton White, 43, of Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for domestic violence.

Recovered property: A men’s wallet was found containing an Ohio license and credit cards at a home in the 3000 block of Nassau Court.

Theft: Mulch was stolen from Handyman Hardware, 4351 Kirk Road.

Theft: An Xbox and a GPS were stolen from an auto parked at Biotest, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Melissa Mills,31, of Western Reserve Road, Poland, on a charge of theft. Police said she took merchandise from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was dented at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.

Aug. 11

Criminal damaging: A flag pole was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.

Criminal trespassing: Police issued a summons to Howard McCreary, 47, of South Main Street, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Walmart.

Theft: Copper and condensers from rooftop air conditioning units were stolen at Arby’s, 4440 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Payroll checks were duplicated and cashed at TriSun Real Estate, 3406 S. Meridian Road.

Aug. 12

Aggravated robbery: A male juvenile had a bookbag stolen at gunpoint at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Burglary: An apartment was broken into and two televisions, two computers and T-shirts were stolen.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle doors were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Felonious assault: A woman was beaten by hand and with the use of tools over a cellphone at a home in the 3000 block of Huntmere Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was dented at a home in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Lisa Haefke, 36, of South Edgehill Avenue, on a warrant for theft by deception.

Warrant: Police arrested John McCary, 37, of Princeton Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Criminal damaging: Damage to a roof was reported at a home in the 6000 block of Berry Blossom Drive.

Child endangering: Police issued a summons to Phillip Bolender, 25, of Redgate Lane, on a charge of child endangering for operating a vehicle under the influence.

Aug. 13

Fraud: A Verizon account was opened in a victim’s name at a home in the 500 block of Notre Dame Drive.

Criminal damaging: The gas tank of a vehicle parked at a home in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road may have been contaminated.

Burglary: Forced entry was noted at a home in the 100 block of Parkgate Avenue, but nothing was stolen.

Burglary: A trimmer and leaf blower were taken from a home in the 300 block of DeHoff Drive.

Aug. 14

Theft: An Ohio license plate was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Warrant: Police arrested Erica Tulane, 31, of Lake Road, on a warrant for passing bad checks.

Aug. 15

Weapons offense: Police arrested Emanuel Jones, 31, of Applecrest Court, Boardman, on a weapons offense for improper handling of a firearm and possessing a defaced weapon. He had a loaded Smith & Wesson .38-caliber handgun in a leather holster underneath the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The gun’s serial number was partially scratched off.

Burglary: An undetermined amount of money was taken from a home in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue.

Theft: Car keys were missing from a garage in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Crossing.

Theft: A baby stroller, car seat and battery were stolen from a yard in the 1000 block of Victory Hill Lane.

Lost or stolen property: A wallet and $200 were stolen from BP Fast Trac, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen from Harbor Freight, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A laptop and camera equipment were stolen from an auto parked at Weston Center, 5509 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated burglary: Police arrested Steven Wells, 29, of Green Valley Drive, Salem, on an aggravated-burglary charge.

Aug. 16

Warrant: Police arrested Rex Johnson, 55, of Oakview Drive, Girard, on a warrant for failure to appear for a trespassing charge.

Warrant: Police arrested Glenn Saunders, 35, of Lisa Lane, Farrell, Pa., on a warrant for telecommunications harassment.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Hope Mogg, 38, of Matta Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of theft. Police said she took $130.95 of women’s clothes at Rainbow Shops, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 17

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a Home Savings and Loan bank card at a home in the 3000 block of Cumberland Circle.

Fraud: A total of $136.16 in purchases were fraudulently made at Home Depot through Seven Seventeen credit union on the account of person who lives at a home in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Crossing.

Theft: A 2014 single-axle trailer was stolen at Meridian Auto Body, the 164 block of South Meridian Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Mahala Wallace, 25, of Hemlock Court, on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of drug abuse and use and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Recovered property: A cap gun was recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Deopham Green Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Christopher Shultz, 35, of Salts Spring Road, Lordstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a theft charge.

Fraud: A total of $204.56 in unauthorized charges were made on a Homes Savings and Loan bank account in Columbus belonging to a resident of the 4000 block of Pembrook Road

Recovered property: A boy’s Mongoose bicycle was recovered by Dr. John Vargo of Norquest Boulevard.

Theft: A male suspect fled on foot with blue jeans stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two buggies containing $500 worth of merchandise were pushed out of a side door and damaged at Walmart by two suspects who fled with the merchandise.

Warrant: Police arrested Joseph Mondora, 44, of Callaway Circle, on a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal-trespassing charge.

Theft: A male juvenile was charged with theft of a 25-foot garden hose in the 50 block of Parkgate Ave. The hose was taken from a neighbor.

Aug. 19

Animal complaint: A dog bite was reported at Birch Trace and Woodridge Drive.

Aug. 20

Warrant: Police arrested Austin Chase, 22, of Woodland Trace, on a Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to comply and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Auto theft: A 2001 silver Buick LeSabre was stolen from the 400 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: A woman’s purse was stolen at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: Two key fobs with house and vehicle keys on them were recovered at New and South Turner roads.

Aug. 21

Criminal trespassing: Police arrested Johnathan Dill, 20, of North Heights Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Aaron’s Rent to Own, at the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: An unidentified male suspect inside a vehicle, when confronted by the victim, pointed a gun at the victim in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.

Breaking and entering: A lock was cut, a storage unit entered and its contents removed at Uncle Bob’s, 3609 LeHarps Road.

Theft: Bad checks were passed at the Associated School Employees Credit Union, 1690 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Items were taken from a purse, including Vicodin, in the 300 block of Victoria Road.

Theft: A food bill was not paid at Denny’s Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 22

Domestic violence: Police arrested William Darkadakis, 35, of Lancaster Avenue, on a charge of domestic violence.

Theft: Items were taken from the store by a female suspect at Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Lost or stolen property: A cellphone battery and SIM card were lost or stolen from a home in the 600 block of North Turner Road.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted text messages were reported at Walmart.

Aug. 23

Drug offense: Police arrested Ashley Parrish, 28, of Summit Avenue, Niles, on charges of possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments.

Criminal damaging: A BB gun was used to put holes in a swimming pool at a home in the 100 block of Country Green Drive.

Theft: Tires and wheels were stolen off a new truck at Bob & Chuck Eddy Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, 4850 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Christopher Hylton, 26, of Westchester Drive, on a warrant for child endangerment.

Theft: A 20-inch mountain bicycle was stolen off a front porch at a home in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
