Series of night closures on Interstate 80 has been delayed one week

A series of night closures on Interstate 80 has been delayed one week.

Ohio Department of Transportation spokesman Brent Kovacs said the work was delayed due to the contractor’s preference.

When those closures will occur next week will be released once they are determined. The work was concentrated on I-80 at the Ohio Turnpike and was to feature lane closures overnight for pavement repair.

This work is part of the three-year $108.4 million project to widen and repave the highway from state Route 46 to state Route 193/Belmont Avenue.
