Repairs underway at Campbell Memorial High School stadium

CAMPBELL — The stadium at Campbell Memorial High School was one of many casualties of a storm in May. During the storm, a light pole blew over and damaged the stadium’s bleachers.

In an effort to ensure the stadium will be ready for the fall football season, however, the board of education passed legislation last month to authorize $228,361 for a new light pole and repairs to the bleachers. A claim paid by Liberty Mutual Insurance will cover the cost.

Thursday morning, a large crane will install a new 90-foot light pole. Campbell’s first home football game will be Friday at 7 p.m. against Lakeview High School.
