Library will host gardening program

NEW CASTLE, PA.

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Lawrence County and New Castle Public Library are announcing a fall program series from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10, 17 and 24 and Oct. 1 at the library, 207 E. North St.

The cost is $5 per session. The following are the series topics:

Sept. 10: Putting Your Garden to Bed Planting and Bed Planting Spring Bulbs

Sept. 17: Dahlias and Landscaping Ideas

Sept. 24: Feed the Birds

Oct. 1: Straw Bale Gardening
