Corn roast set at Pleasant Grove

YOUNGSTOWN

Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church men’s group is hosting a corn roast at 5 p.m. Aug. 30 at the church, 3919 Southern Blvd., on the corner of Southern and Midlothian boulevards.

They also will serve hot dogs, pie and beverages.

Adults tickets cost $6, and tickets for children under 12 are $3.

The proceeds will benefit Heather Brownlie, a young woman in the church family who has stage 5 kidney disease and is on the waiting list for a kidney transplant.
