Teen is held after mom is found dead

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO

Deputies say a 15-year-old boy is being held after his mother was found dead in their home.

Ross County sheriff’s Lt. Mike Preston says deputies responding to a 911 call from a neighbor about 5 a.m. Friday found the Chillicothe woman dead, apparently from head trauma.

Preston says a confrontation arose from a domestic dispute, and the woman’s son was taken into custody as a suspect. He hasn’t been charged.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
