Fundraiser set for nonviolence events

YOUNGSTOWN

To raise money for the Fifth Annual Nonviolence Parade/Rally, a spaghetti dinner will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St. (across from Wick Park). The cost will be $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available.

The parade and rally will take place at 3 p.m. Oct. 4, beginning at Wood Street and Wick Avenue. It will be the kickoff for Nonviolence Week, which is now a statewide event. All are welcome to participate in the parade and rally.

The event is sponsored by Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past, Youngstown City Schools, the City of Youngstown, CIRV, the Youngstown State University office of Student Diversity Programs, the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Planning Committee.
